Cosmetic packaging giant installs a new Water Energy water treatment plant

Albéa Cosmetics Italy, the Italian manufacturing branch of the French group leader in cosmetic packaging, has installed a new UV coating plant for rigid packaging for mascara and lip gloss. The new line has resulted in the transition from dry spray booths to water veil ones.

The water from the water veil booths is cleaned by Skimmerflot 5000 flotation plant, which can remove in continuous both suspended or emulsified pollutants in waters derived from industrial processing by means of flotation of a layer of sludge produced on the surface of the water. Skimmerflot plant operates by the effect of a molecular separation of water and sludge, allowing it to float and to be eliminated by means of a skimming system in continuous, and subsequently stored in special draining bags.

The system installed at Albéa includes a filter press for the reduction of the sludge.
